Parco Tematico Sicilia in Miniatura

Parco Tematico Sicilia in Miniatura is Sicily’s only park devoted entirely to the island. Set at the foot of Mount Etna in Zafferana Etnea, it occupies more than 20,000 square metres of green space, volcanic terraces and gorse, offering an expansive and playful introduction to Sicily’s landscapes, monuments and traditions.

The Parco delle Miniature contains more than 70 hand-crafted models of Sicilian landmarks, from the Duomo di Messina and Castello Ursino to the Valley of the Temples, Taormina’s ancient theatre and Mount Etna itself. The scale may be miniature, but the selection gives the park a distinctly island-wide perspective.

Elsewhere, the Parco dei Dinosauri combines animated dinosaurs with a dino theatre, virtual-reality experience and 3D cinema. At Castello “Sicilia in Leggenda”, Greek myths recount the island’s origins, while Area Egitto takes a Tutankhamon-themed approach and includes the “Missione Orions” simulator, introduced in 2025.

The park’s quieter educational strands explore the natural and working life of Etna through the Museo della Fauna e Flora dell’Etna, Casa dell’Ape and Antichi Mestieri. Era Glaciale and Insetti Giganti add further encounters with the natural world, while the indoor Jurassic Adventure play area is due to open in 2026.

The entrance is at Via Cassone 114, Zafferana Etnea, in the Città metropolitana di Catania. The park is listed at Albergo Belvedere municipality and does not require advance booking.
